Rx Data
This text box displays the data communication received by the TV80 from external
devices. These external devices may for example be navigation sensors, motion
reference units, or other hydroacoustic systems. If you have enabled

Tx Data
This text box displays the data communication exported out from the TV80 to external
devices.
Auto Update
When this function is activated, the relevant text box is continuously updated with
new information. If you wish to "freeze" the information for further investigation,
deactivate to disable the automatic update.
Clear
This function clears the text box to allow a new stream of communication data to
start on a blank page.
Lock/Unlock
You can "lock" the not recognized sentences. When you "lock" a red not recognized
sentence, it will become grey.

Serial Port Setup dialog box

Serial line communication is important for TV80 operation. The
box allows you to define the communication parameters for serial line ports. These ports
are typically used for serial communication with catch monitoring sensors or peripheral
systems. The information from external devices is based on serial line "datagrams". For
most commercial devices, the formats of these datagrams are defined by NMEA (National
Marine Electronics Association).
