ALU Test A
When the ALU Test A key is p ressed, patterns are written to the A L U s (U303, U304,
U305, U307, U308, U31 0) and sh ift PAL (U21 2). The FPP outputs d ata to the gl obal
RAM which is verified by the system

ALU Test B
When the ALU Test B key is p ressed, the ALUs are thoro u g h ly tested along with the
carry look-ahead s u bb lock (U21 1 , U 302), the sh ift PAL (U21 2), the status mu ltip lexer
(U201 ), and the seq uencer (U1 03).
D. A7 Signature Analysis Tests
Use these tests to isolate a fa i l u re on the FPP assem bly. O n ly the com ponents in fa i l ing
s u bb l ocks need to be tested. The term 'toggl i ng' refers to a signal conti n u a l l y changing
between TTL l evel h ig h and TTL leve l l ow.
