5 . Pu l l the fol lowing assembl ies up in the i r card nests so they are no longer connected
to the A1 2 Mother Board :
A30 Analog Sou rce
A31 Trigger
A32 ADC 1
A33 I n put 1
A34 ADC 2
A35 I n put 2
6. Press the l i ne switch on. The L E Ds pass seq u e n ce sho u l d stop on Hex B1 and
A2 DS1 s h o u l d be on. If H ex B1 is not d is p l ayed, start tro u b l eshooting with the
A2 System CP U (go to 8-6).
7. Press the l i ne switc h off.
8. Repl ace the A3 Program ROM assem bly.
9. P ress the l i n e switc h on. The L E Ds pass seq u e n ce sho u l d stop on H ex B5 and
A2 DS1 shou ld be off. If H ex B5 is not d is p l ayed, go to part E .
1 0 . Press the l ine switch off.
1 1 . Repl ace the A8 G l obal RAM.
1 2 . Press the l ine switc h on. The G l obal RAM and G l obal Bus tests are now perfo rmed.
The L E Ds pass seq uence shou ld now occu r (it takes about 40s to com pl ete) and
. A2 DS1 shou ld be off. If the L E Ds pass sequence does not occu r go to part E .
1 3 . The d isp lay s h o u l d now appear as show n i n f i g u re 7-3 . I f the d is p l ay i s defective,
the prob ab le cause of the fai l u re is the A8 G l obal RAM or A1 7 D i s p l ay I nterface
(go to 8-1 1 ).
