The recommended test eq u ipment for trou bleshooting is l i sted in tab le 1-4. Any item which
meets or exceed s th e criti cal req u i rements can be su bstituted for the model l i sted. These
p roced u res are des igned to be run with a m i n i m u m amou nt of equ i pment.

LOGIC CONVENTIONS
Pos itive logic convention is used in this m a n u a l u n less otherwise noted. Pos itive logic
co nventions define a logic "1 /1 or "H igh/l as more pos itive voltage and a logic "0" or " Low"
as the more negative voltage.
7-4 SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS
T he HP 3562A is a Safety C l ass 1 instru ment (p rov ided with a protective earth term i n al).
The instru ment and manuals shou ld be reviewed for safety marki ngs and instructions before
operation. Refer to the safety sym bol tab le in the preface of this m a n u a l .
