The H P 3562A is a du al-channel, FFT-based network, spectrum and waveform analyzer

which provides analysis capab i l ities in both the time and freq uency domains. The
0-to-1 00 kHz frequency range, 1 50 d B measurement range and 80 d B dynam ic range of the
H P 3562A make it a powerful tool for testing and analysis in electronic, mechan ical and
servo control system applications.
This analyzer has a pair of differential input channels and a bui lt-in signal source. Besides
l i near and logarithmic resol ution measurement modes, the H P 3562A also provides swept
sine measurements.
The digital section of this instru ment provides the· flexibil ity to manipu l ate the gathered
data into almost any format requ ired through waveform math, frequency response syn­
thesis, and cu rve fitting routines. The HP 3562A also directly drives H P-G L plotters without
a control ler. External disc drives can be directly driven for data and instrument state storage.
There are five options avai lable for the H P 3562A. They are available either when the
instru ment is ordered, or they may be installed later. These options are l isted in tab le 1 -2.

The H P 3562A is a Safety Class 1 instrument (provided with a protective earth term inal).
Although this instru ment has been designed in accordance with international safety stan­

dards, this manual contains information, cautions and warni ngs which m ust be fol lowed
to ensure safe operation and retain the H P 3562A in safe operati ng condition. Service
and adjustments shou ld be performed only by qual ified personnel who are aware of the
hazards involved.
