SNP Probe Quartet
Two probe pairs, one for each allele, are used in a probe quartet
(Figure B.1):
• Perfect match for the A allele (P
• Mismatch for the A allele (M
• Perfect match for the B allele (P
• Mismatch for the B allele (M
Two probe quartets are paired to probe the sense and antisense strands
of the sample.
The SNP probe set always uses a probe quartet with the SNP site
centered in the oligonucleotide. It also uses probe quartets that offset
the center interrogation position by moving the position up and down
stream of the SNP site
