Affymetrix GeneChip
®
While you have several options for performing an analysis, you always
follow the same basic steps:
Select the assay type, using the Filters dialog box (see
1.
You can analyze mapping data from different types of arrays at the
same time.
Set the Algorithm settings (optional).
2.
The mapping algorithms have user-modifiable settings.
You may need to alter some settings in certain circumstances. For
more information, see
Select the cell intensity data for analysis.
3.
You can select the files using a variety of tools:
- The Analyze dialog box (see
- The Data Tree (see
- The Batch Analysis window (mapping analyses only)
(see
page 117)
Assign names to the generated analysis results files and report files
4.
(optional).
If you don't assign new names to the analysis results and reports,
previously created results and reports may be over-written. You
have a variety of tools for assigning names to the results and
reports, depending upon the method you used to select the cell
intensity data.
Run the analysis.
5.
An algorithm report is generated for mapping analyses.
