• Merlin format
Tab-delimited format exports the data into tab-delimited text files
that can be displayed in Microsoft Notepad, Microsoft Excel, and other
spreadsheet and text-editing software.
Haploview format is used by the Haploview association analysis
software.
The tab-delimited Haploview formats do not require that you enter
pedigree data for the samples.
GeneHunter open source software and Merlin formats are used for
linkage analysis software. This software requires that you have entered
pedigree data for the samples.
The SNP Export tool has filters that allow you to filter out SNPs that
do not meet particular requirements from the export. You can filter
by:
• Allele Frequency
• Hardy-Weinberg probability value
• Mendelian Error rate
• SNP Call Rate
You must enter sample pedigree data in order to use the Mendelian
Error filter, even if you are using an export format that does not require
pedigree data.
