Chapter 23 Multicast
DESCRIPTION
Select t his opt ion t o enable MLD filt ering on t he Swit ch.
This field appears only in st acking m ode. Click t he drop- down list t o choose t he slot
num ber of t he Swit ch in a st ack.
This field displays t he port num ber. I n st acking m ode, t he first box field is t he slot I D and
t he second field is t he port num ber.
Set t ings in t his row apply t o all port s.
Use t his row only if you want t o m ake som e set t ings t he sam e for all port s. Use t his row
first t o set t he com m on set t ings and t hen m ake adj ust m ent s on a port- by- port basis.
Note: Changes in this row are copied to all the ports as soon as you make them.
Select t his opt ion t o lim it t he num ber of m ult icast groups t his port is allowed t o j oin.
Ent er t he num ber of m ult icast groups t his port is allowed t o j oin. Once a port is regist ered
in t he specified num ber of m ult icast groups, any new MLD Report m essage is dropped on
t his port .
Select t he nam e of t he MLD filt ering profile t o use for t his port . Ot herwise, select D e fa u lt
t o prohibit t he port from j oining any m ult icast group.
You can creat e MLD filt ering profiles in t he M u lt ica st > I Pv6 M u lt ica st > M LD
Sn oopin g- pr ox y > Filt e r in g > Filt e r in g Pr ofile screen.
Click Apply t o save your changes t o t he Swit ch's run- t im e m em ory. The Swit ch loses
t hese changes if it is t urned off or loses power, so use t he Sa ve link on t he t op navigat ion
panel t o save your changes t o t he non- volat ile m em ory when you are done configuring.
Click Ca n ce l t o reset t he fields t o your previous configurat ion.
