LABEL DESCRIPTION
Client DUI D Each DHCP client and server has a unique DHCP Unique I Dent ifier ( DUI D) , which is used for
ident ificat ion when t hey are exchanging DHCPv6 m essages. The DUI D is generat ed from t he
MAC address, t im e, vendor assigned I D and/ or t he vendor's privat e ent erprise num ber
regist ered wit h t he I ANA. Type t he client DUI D for t he devices connect ed t o t he Swit ch in
t his field.
Client Nam e Type a nam e t o ident ify t he DHCPv6 client in t his field.
VI D Type t he I D num ber of t he VLAN t o which t he DHCPv6 client belongs here.
Prefix Address I Pv6 uses an address prefix t o represent t he net work address. An I Pv6 prefix lengt h
specifies how m any m ost significant bit s ( st art from t he left ) in t he address com pose t he
net work address. The prefix lengt h is writ t en as " / x" where x is a num ber. For exam ple,
'2001: db8: 1a2b: 15: : 1a2f: 0/ 32' is a prefix address wit h prefix lengt h.
/ 32 m eans t hat t he first 32 bit s ( '2001: db8') from t he left is t he net work prefix.

Prefix Lengt h Type t he prefix lengt h in t his field. For exam ple, t ype 32.
Add Click t his t o creat e a new ent ry or t o updat e an exist ing one.

changes t o t he non- volat ile m em ory when you are done configuring.

I ndex This field displays a sequent ial num ber for each ent ry. Click an index num ber t o change it s
set t ings.

client .
Client Nam e This field displays a nam e t o ident ify t he DHCPv6 client .
VI D This field displays t he I D num ber of t he VLAN t o which t he DHCPv6 client belongs.
Select an ent ry's check box t o select a specific ent ry. Ot herwise, select t he check box in t he
t able heading row t o select all ent ries.
Delet e Check t he ent ry( ies) t hat you want t o rem ove and t hen click t he D e le t e but t on.
Cancel Click Ca nce l t o clear t he select ed checkbox( es) .
