changes if it is t urned off or loses power, so use t he Sa ve link on t he t op navigat ion panel t o
save your changes t o t he non- volat ile m em ory when you are done configuring.

Nam e Ent er up t o 32 alphanum eric charact ers t o ident ify t his subnet based VLAN.
I P Ent er t he I P address of t he subnet for which you want t o configure t his subnet based VLAN.
Mask- Bit s Ent er t he bit num ber of t he subnet m ask. To find t he bit num ber, convert t he subnet m ask
t o binary form at and add all t he 1's t oget her. Take " 255.255.255.0" for exam ple. 255
convert s t o eight 1s in binary. There are t hree 255s, so add t hree eight s t oget her and you
get t he bit num ber ( 24) .
VI D Ent er t he I D of a VLAN wit h which t he unt agged fram es from t he I P subnet specified in t his
subnet based VLAN are t agged. This m ust be an exist ing VLAN w hich you defined in t he
Adva n ce d Applica t ion > V LAN > St a t ic V LAN screen.
Priorit y Select t he priorit y level t hat t he Swit ch assigns t o fram es belonging t o t his VLAN.
Add Click t his t o creat e a new ent ry or t o updat e an exist ing one.
This saves your changes t o t he Swit ch's run- t im e m em ory. The Swit ch loses t hese changes
if it is t urned off or loses power, so use t he Sa ve link on t he t op navigat ion panel t o save
your changes t o t he non- volat ile m em ory when you are done configuring.
Cancel Click Ca n ce l t o begin configuring t his screen afresh.
I ndex This is t he index num ber ident ifying t his subnet based VLAN. Click on any of t hese num bers
t o edit an exist ing subnet based VLAN.
