43.4 DHCPv4 Relay
Configure DHCP relay on t he Swit ch if t he DHCP client s and t he DHCP server are not in t he sam e
broadcast dom ain. During t he init ial I P address leasing, t he Swit ch helps t o relay net work
inform at ion ( such as t he I P address and subnet m ask) bet ween a DHCP client and a DHCP server.
Once t he DHCP client obt ains an I P address and can connect t o t he net work, net work inform at ion
renewal is done bet ween t he DHCP client and t he DHCP server wit hout t he help of t he Swit ch.

DESCRIPTION
This field displays t he st art ing I P address of t he I P address pool configured for t his DHCP
server inst ance.
This field displays t he last I P address of t he I P address pool configured for t his DHCP
server inst ance.
This field displays t he subnet m ask value sent t o client s from t his DHCP server inst ance.
This field displays t he default gat eway value sent t o client s from t his DHCP server
inst ance.

I t m ay also display SELF OCCUPI ED AD D RESS if t he I P address cannot be used for
