DESCRIPTION
ARP Freeze allows you t o aut om at ically creat e st at ic bindings from t he current ARP
ent ries ( eit her dynam ically learned or st at ic ARP ent ries) unt il t he Swit ch's binding
t able is full.
Note: The ARP learning mode should be set to ARP-Request in the IP Application >
ARP Setup > ARP Learning screen before you use the ARP Freeze feature.
All - Select t his and click ARP Fr e e ze t o have t he Swit ch aut om at ically add all t he
current ARP ent ries t o t he st at ic bindings t able.
Por t List - Select t his and ent er t he num ber of t he port ( s) ( separat ed by a com m a) .
I n st acking m ode, t he first num ber represent s t he slot and t he second t he port
num ber. Ent er 1/ 1- 1/ 24,2/ 28 for port s 1 t o 24 for t he Swit ch in slot 1 and port 28 for
t he Swit ch in slot 2, for exam ple.

Specify t he port ( s) in t he binding. I f t his binding has one port , select t he first radio
but t on and ent er t he port num ber in t he field t o t he right . I n st acking m ode, t he first
field is t he slot I D and t he second field is t he port num ber. I f t his binding applies t o
all port s, select An y.
Click t his t o creat e a new ent ry or t o updat e an exist ing one.
This saves your changes t o t he Swit ch's run- t im e m em ory. The Swit ch loses t hese
changes if it is t urned off or loses power, so use t he Sa ve link on t he t op navigat ion
panel t o save your changes t o t he non- volat ile m em ory when you are done
configuring.
Click t his t o reset t he values above based on t he last select ed st at ic binding or, if not
applicable, t o clear t he fields above.
Click Cle a r t o reset t he fields t o t he fact ory default s.
This field displays a sequent ial num ber for each binding. Click on an index num ber t o
view m ore det ails or change t he set t ings.
This field displays t he source MAC address in t he binding.
This field displays t he I P address assigned t o t he MAC address in t he binding.
This field displays how long t he binding is valid.
This field displays how t he Swit ch learned t he binding.
