Aut hent icat ion Select N on e t o disable aut hent icat ion. This is t he default set t ing.
Select Sim ple t o use a sim ple password t o aut hent icat e VRRP packet exchanges on t his
int erface.
Key When you select Sim ple in t he Aut h e nt ica t ion field, ent er a password key ( up t o eight
print able ASCI I charact er long) in t his field.
Apply Click Apply t o save your changes t o t he Swit ch's run- t im e m em ory. The Swit ch loses t hese
changes if it is t urned off or loses power, so use t he Sa ve link on t he t op navigat ion panel t o
save your changes t o t he non- volat ile m em ory when you are done configuring.
Cancel Click Ca n ce l t o discard all changes m ade in t his t able.
