Nam e Ent er a descript ive nam e for ident ificat ion purposes for t his st at ic MAC address forwarding
rule.
MAC Address Ent er t he MAC address in valid MAC address form at , t hat is, six hexadecim al charact er
pairs.
Note: Static MAC addresses do not age out.
VI D Ent er t he VLAN ident ificat ion num ber.
Port ( st andalone Ent er t he port where t he MAC address ent ered in t he previous field will be aut om at ically
or st acking forwarded. I n st acking m ode, t he first box field is t he slot I D and t he second field is t he
m ode) port num ber.
Add Click t his t o creat e a new ent ry or t o updat e an exist ing one.
This saves your rule t o t he Swit ch's run- t im e m em ory. The Swit ch loses t his rule if it is
t urned off or loses pow er, so use t he Sa ve link on t he t op navigat ion panel t o save your
changes t o t he non- volat ile m em ory when you are done configuring.

MAC Address This field displays t he MAC address t hat will be forwarded and t he VLAN ident ificat ion
num ber t o which t he MAC address belongs.
VI D This field displays t he I D num ber of t he VLAN group.
Port This field displays t he port where t he MAC address shown in t he next field will be
forwarded. I n st acking m ode, t he first num ber represent s t he slot and t he second t he port
num ber.
Select an ent ry's check box t o select a specific ent ry. Ot herwise, select t he check box in t he
t able heading row t o select all ent ries.
