Port Ent er t he num ber of t he port t o which t his rule is applied. I n st acking m ode, t he first
num ber represent s t he slot and t he second t he port num ber.
VI D Ent er t he VLAN ident ificat ion num ber.
Lim it Num ber Use t his field t o lim it t he num ber of ( dynam ic) MAC addresses t hat m ay be learned on a
port in a specified VLAN. For exam ple, if you set t his field t o " 5" on port 2, t hen only t he
devices wit h t hese five learned MAC addresses m ay access port 2 at any one t im e. A sixt h
device would have t o wait unt il one of t he five learned MAC addresses aged out . MAC
address aging out t im e can be set in t he Sw it ch Se t u p screen. The valid range is from " 0"
t o " 16K". " 0" m eans t his feat ure is disabled.
Add Click t his t o creat e a new ent ry or t o updat e an exist ing one.
This saves your changes t o t he Swit ch's run- t im e m em ory. The Swit ch loses t hese changes
if it is t urned off or loses power, so use t he Sa ve link on t he t op navigat ion panel t o save
your changes t o t he non- volat ile m em ory when you are done configuring.
Cancel Click Ca n ce l t o reset t he fields t o your previous configurat ion.
Clear Click Cle a r t o reset t he fields t o t he fact ory default s.
I ndex This field displays t he index num ber of t he rule. Click an index num ber t o change t he
set t ings.
Act ive This field displays Ye s when t he rule is act ivat ed and N o when is it deact ivat ed.
Port This field displays t he num ber of t he port t o which t his rule is applied.
VI D This is t he VLAN I D num ber t o which t he port belongs.
Lim it Num ber This is t he m axim um num ber of MAC addresses which a port can learn in a VLAN.
Select an ent ry's check box t o select a specific ent ry. Ot herwise, select t he check box in
t he t able heading row t o select all ent ries.
Delet e Check t he rule( s) t hat you want t o rem ove in t he D e le t e colum n and t hen click t he D e le t e
but t on.
Cancel Click Ca n ce l t o clear t he select ed checkbox( es) in t he D e le t e colum n.
