Use t his screen t o have t he Swit ch det ect whet her t he cont rol packet s exceed t he rat e lim it
configured for a port and configure t he act ion t o t ake once t he lim it is exceeded. Click t he Click
H e r e link next t o Er r disa ble D e t e ct link in t he Adva nce d Applica t ion > Er r disa ble screen t o
display t he screen as shown.

DESCRIPTION
Select t he t ype of cont rol packet you want t o configure here.
This field appears only in st acking m ode. Click t he drop- down list t o choose t he slot
num ber of t he Swit ch in a st ack.
This field displays t he port num ber. I n st acking m ode, t he first box field is t he slot I D and
t he second field is t he port num ber. * m eans all port s ( on t he sam e Swit ch) .
Use t his row t o m ake t he set t ing t he sam e for all port s. Use t his row first and t hen m ake
adj ust m ent s t o each port if necessary.
Note: Changes in this row are copied to all the ports as soon as you make them.
Ent er a num ber from 0 t o 256 t o specify how m any cont rol packet s t his port can receive or
t ransm it per second.

You can configure t he act ion t hat t he Swit ch t akes w hen t he lim it is exceeded. See
31.5 on page 330
for det ailed inform at ion.
Click Apply t o save your changes t o t he Swit ch's run- t im e m em ory. The Swit ch loses
t hese changes if it is t urned off or loses power, so use t he Sa ve link on t he t op navigat ion
panel t o save your changes t o t he non- volat ile m em ory when you are done configuring.
Click Ca n ce l t o begin configuring t his screen afresh.
