Router D connects to the network that comprises the IPv6 multicast source (Source) through
GigabitEthernet 1/0/1.
Router A connects to N1 through GigabitEthernet 1/0/1, and to Router D through Serial 2/0/0.
Router B and Router C connect to N2 through their respective GigabitEthernet 1/0/1, and to Router
D through their respective POS 5/0/0.
MLDv1 will run between Router A and N1, and between Router B/Router C and N2.

Procedure
Enable IPv6 forwarding and configure IPv6 addresses and IPv6 unicast routing
1.
Enable IPv6 forwarding on each router and configure the IPv6 address and prefix length for each
interface as per
Configure OSPFv3 on the routers in the IPv6 PIM-DM domain to ensure network-layer reachability among
them. Detailed configuration steps are omitted here.
Enable IPv6 multicast routing, and enable IPv6 PIM-DM and MLD
2.
# Enable IPv6 multicast routing on Router A, and enable IPv6 PIM-DM on each interface and enable MLD
