Chapter 1 - System Description
1.4.1.3
Access Unit (AU)
The AU comprises an Indoor Unit (IDU) and a
Euro AU-IDU module connects to the AU-ODU via an Intermediate Frequency (IF)
cable. The IF cable carries full duplex data, control and management signals
between the AU-IDU and the AU-ODU,
synchronization reference clock from
Rx frequencies are 240 MHz and 140 MHz, respectively. IDU-ODU s
channel at 14 MHz serves for bi-directional control, status and mana
signaling.

The PIU filters and stabilizes the Base Station input power and
protects the system from power problems such as over voltage,
surge pulses, reverse polarity connection and short circuits. It als
