Lower Unit
3. Put lower unit ass'y into drive shaft housing.
Connect speedometer pick up tube 2, and align positions
of water pipe and water pipe seal 3.
Reconnect speedometer tube, and secure the
tube using tie band.
4. Tighten lower unit ass'y installation bolts and nut to
specified torque.
Attach gear case plate plug 4 and gear case plate 5.
5.
To make centering of lower unit ass'y to
drive shaft housing, attach bolts to two
locations marked on the lower unit ass'y
B
first. After all bolts are attached, tighten
the two bolts first.
M8 :
25N · m (18 lb · ft) [2.5kgf · m]
M10 :
40N · m (29 lb · ft) [4.0kg · m]

Connect shift rod joint 6 and shift rod 7, and drive in

spring pin 8.
· Do not reuse spring pin.
· Replace with new one when removed.
