The information presented in this section addresses the series 2 versions of the IQDM-P and IQDM handsets.
IQDM series 1 and IQDM-P series 1 handsets are not compatible with the Excel System. See Figure 16-2,
Page 16-1.
This manual spans several model years and software releases ranging from version 10 to version 14 (as
of early 2011 model year). The software version can be viewed in the Information menu of the IQDM. See
Information on page 16-17.

PLUGGING THE HANDSET INTO THE VEHICLE

1. Connect one end of the cable to the port located on the bottom of the handset.
2. Connect the cable adaptor to the IQDM cable.
3. Find the IQDM port on the vehicle (Figure 16-1, Page 16-1).
4. Remove the dust cap from the IQDM port.
5. Align the keyed portion of the plug with the IQDM port and connect the plug to the port.
