errDump

Displays the error log, without pagination.
Synopsis
errdump [-s switch_instance] [-r]

Description
Use this command to display external error log messages for all switch instances and the chassis, without
pagination. The -r operand displays the messages in reversed order. The following information displays
in each message:
Start delimiter
Timestamp
Message ID
External sequence number
Security audit flag
Severity
Switch name
Message
End delimiter
Operands
This command has the following optional operands:
-s switch_instance
-r
Examples
To display the error log, without pagination:
switch:user> errdump
Version: 4.4.0
2004/07/14-22:24:08, [HAMK-1003], 1,, INFO, switch1, Heartbeat up
2004/07/14-22:24:47, [FSSM-1002], 2,, INFO, switchChassis, HA
State is in sync

violation: Login failure attempt via SERIAL.

Delimiter string for the start of a message.
Timestamp for the message.
Message identifier.
Sequence number for the message
Security audit logged. AUDIT displays in the field.
Severity of the message. Valid values include INFO, WARNING,
ERROR, and CRITICAL.
Switch name for the generator of this message, or "chassis".
Message body.
Delimiter string for the end of a message.
Specifies to display messages only from one switch instance. Valid
values are 0 or 1. If this option is omitted, messages from all
switch instances are displayed.
Specifies to display messages in reversed order. If this option is
omitted, the messages display in the normal order.
