464 Changing WLAN Management Software Services Preferences
If the status color is blue, then WLAN Management Software is not receiving status
data from the server yet.
If the status color is green, yellow, orange, or red, then WLAN Management
Software is receiving status data from the server.

Changing Service Settings

The service settings control the connection parameters, key store information, and access control to WLAN
Management Software Services.
Note.
The port numbers used by WLAN Management Software Services must not be
used by other applications on the machine where WLAN Management Software Services is
installed. If port 443 or 162 is used by another application, change the port number for
WLAN Management Software Services or for the other application.
To change service settings

Select Services > Setup. A browser window opens, displaying the WLAN Management
Software Services Setup page. (See

Select Tools > WLAN Management Software Services Setup. The WLAN Management
Software Services Setup dialog box appears. (See

Click the Service Settings tab (if not already selected).

To change the TCP port on which WLAN Management Software Services listens for requests
from WLAN Management Software, type or select the port number in the HTTPS Server Port
box. The default is 443.
Caution!
Software client lose connection with the service and will need to reconnect on the
new port number. The HTTPS port number is automatically updated for the WLAN
Management Software client you are using and your connection is automatically
restored. Other clients will need to use the Monitor Service Select wizard to
change the service port and reconnect.

To enable WLAN Management Software to reuse a switch configuration to replace an old
switch with a new one, select Auto-Config IP Subnet Matching.

The change the UDP port on which WLAN Management Software Services listens for SNMP
traps, type or select the port number in the Trap Receiver Port box. The default is 162.
