To change the threshold for a threshold crossing alert (TCA), change the value in the Low
SNR, Max clients per AP, or Max Receiver Adjustment pull-down list:
When a TCA is triggered, the alert is displayed as a red flag in the link view of the Explore
window of the Monitor tab. You can click on the object for more information. In addition,
the corresponding data column in the RF Trends window of the Monitor tab turns red.
12 To enable WLAN Management Software Services to track rogue detection and
countermeasures information, select Enable Rogue Detection. This option is enabled by
default.
13 Click Save to save the changes or Cancel to cancel the changes.
14 Click another tab to configure more settings or click Close to close the WLAN Management
Software Services Setup dialog box.

Accessing WMS Services Log

To access the WLAN Management Software Services log:

Select Services > Setup, if WMS Services is not already displayed in a browser window.

Select Maintenance, then select Log.
You can access WMS Services log through a web browser. To access WMS Services log, type the ip address
in the Address or Location field of your browser:
The ip-addr is the IP address of the machine on which the service is installed. The default TCP port number is
443. To access the service from the same machine on which it is installed, use IP address 127.0.0.1 (the
loopback address).

Managing Network Plans

WMS Services regularly backs up network plans, at configurable intervals. In addition to these regular
backups, you can create a backup at any time.
You can create a backup from within WMS or at a command line. From within WMS, you also can change the
settings for automatic backups.
To manage backups, select Services > Backup & Restore. If WLAN Management Software Services is
already open in the browser window, select Plan Management, then select Backup & Restore.

Low SNR specifies how low the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) can be for a radio
without triggering a TCA. You can specify from 0 to 60 decibels (dB). The default is
20 dB.
Max clients per AP specifies the maximum number of clients that can be associated
with an AP without triggering a TCA. You can specify from 5 to 50 clients. The
default is 30 clients.
Max Receiver Adjustment specifies the maximum amount a radio's hearing
sensitivity can increase without triggering a TCA. You can specify from 0 to 20
decibels (dB). The default is 6 dB.
