St Limiter
Lookahead
0.00-3.00ms. The lookahead delays the signal very slightly, allowing the limited to
"look ahead" for large volume jumps. This allows better handling of large
transients, such as in drums, percussion, bass and guitar, and other sounds with
sharp attacks.
Attack
1-100ms. This determines how quickly the limiter will take affect after the signal
crosses above the threshold.
Release
50-4000ms. This controls how quickly the limiter will stop reducing volume level
after the signal falls below the threshold.
Ceiling
-18 to 0dB. The limiter includes an automatic makeup gain, based on the threshold
setting. This sets the target output volume for the makeup gain.
Gain Reduction meter
This meter shows the amount of gain reduction caused by the limiter.
Output meter
This meter shows the output level of the limiter.
