9.1 Unpacking and Inspecting the Equipment

This section provides information about unpacking and inspecting a robot.

Before Unpacking

Carefully inspect all shipping crates for evidence of damage during transit. Pay special atten-
tion to any tilt and shock indication labels on the exteriors of the containers. If any damage is
indicated, request that the carrier's agent be present when you unpack the container.

After Unpacking

Before accepting delivery of your robot, please compare the actual items received (not just the
packing slip) with your equipment purchase order and verify that all items are present and
that the shipment is correct and free of visible damage.
If the items received do not match the packing slip, or are damaged, do not sign the
l
receipt. Contact your local OMRON representative as soon as possible.
If the items received do not match your order, please contact your local
l
OMRON representative immediately.
Retain all containers and packaging materials. These items may be necessary to settle claims
or, at a later date, to relocate the equipment.

Unpacking Procedure

The iX4 robot is shipped in a crate that holds the robot base, outer arms, platform, controller,
miscellaneous hardware, and any accessories ordered.
The top of the crate should be removed first.
