Defining Support Element to the Hardware Management Console
If the system is NOT pre-configured and you have a pre-configuration diskette, go to "Restore
Diskette Not Loaded" on page 6-61 before continuing.
Note:
1. Open Groups from the Views area
2. If you have Undefined CPC's in the Groups Work Area continue with the following
procedure to define the CPCs..
3. If all CPCs have been defined to the Hardware Management Console go to "Enabling
Service Status" on page 6-11 of this procedure to set time synchronization.
Note: It is important that all CPC's are defined to one Hardware Management Console so that Licensed
Internal Code changes are received by the CPC Support Element's. This should be the same
Hardware Management Console that was defined LIC Change Enabled in the "Enabling Hardware

Management Console they become part of that Hardware Management Console's DOMAIN.
