Creating CPC Locations Diskette
1 Verifying Support Element Data.
1. ENTER
E: to make the E: drive the
current drive.
2. ENTER
DIR *.D
3. Verify the number of files is equal to the
number of CPC's attached to your system.
4. ENTER
DIR *.C /p
5. Verify the number of files is equal to the
number of CPC's attached to your system.
2 Creating diskette
1. Title a blank diskette label CPC
LOCATIONS.
2. Record on the label all of the *.C file
names displayed.
NOTE.
These file names are the EIA location
of the CPCs on this system.
3. Remove the HWMCA-RESTORE1 diskette
from drive A:.
4. Insert a 1.44 MB formatted blank (scratch)
diskette into drive A:.
5. ENTER
COPY E:\*.C A:
6. ENTER
COPY E:\*.D A:
7. Remove the (scratch) diskette from drive A:
8. Place the label on the diskette.
This diskette from now on will be referred
to as the CPC LOCATIONS diskette.
Note: It is not necessary to create a CPC
LOCATIONS diskette from each Hardware
Management Console if you have more
than one attached to your system.
