4 Ethernet or Token-Ring connection
The corresponding CHPID can be located using
"Locating the correct CHPID on the card." on
page 6-36.
Note: There are 2 LAN cable connector
types for each token-ring. An
RJ-45 or a 9 pin D-shell connect
only one.
1. Connect the correct Ethernet/Token-Ring
LAN cable (one for each adapter).
Note: LAN cables are customer supplied.
The RJ-45 to 9 pin "D" shell
adapter (part 60G1066) will be
available for those customers that
need it and will not be shipped with
every adapter.
Do Not remove wrap plugs from unused
adapters.
5 WAC connection
The corresponding CHPID can be located using
"Locating the correct CHPID on the card." on
page 6-36.
Use the chart Table 6-2 on page 6-34 for the
plugging sequence.
The can be up to three WAC adapters if there are
no MPM2 adapters present.
1. If present connect the WAC cable to the
adapter(s)
6 MPM2 connection
The corresponding CHPID can be located using
"Locating the correct CHPID on the card." on
page 6-36.
Use the chart Table 6-2 on page 6-34 for the
plugging sequence.
The can be up to two MPM2 adapters if there are
no more than one WAC adapter present.
1. If present connect the MPM2 cable to the
adapter(s)
