2 Token Ring LAN
An 8226 MAU is shipped to create and Token-Ring
LAN.
Three (Part 60G1063) LAN cables are shipped with
the 7060 and one additional cable is shipped with
each Hardware Management Console in the order.
1. The first token/ring adapter cards is located
in the lowest numbered Logic card slot with
a 9 pin D-shell or RJ-45 connections.
Cables are shipped to use the RJ-45
connection only.
2. Connect the RJ-45 end of cable (Part
60G1063) to the Token-Ring card in the
lowest numbered slot LG09 to LG12.
3. Connect the LAN end of the first cable to
the LAN end of the second cable.
4. Connect the RJ-45 end of the second cable
to the 8226/MAU shipped with the order.
(This configuration is best if planning for
future additions or if multiple Hardware
Management Console are to be
configured).
5. Attach the power cord to the 8226/MAU
and to a power source.
6. Insure that the 8226/MAU switch is in the
concentrator position.
7. If connecting multiple 7060 String('s)
together connect the next 7060 String to
the next available relay of the 8226/MAU.
Repeat until all 7060 String are plugged.
