4 Reporting from the Support Element
Be certain to record installation time against each
machine type/serial that you installed.
Refer to Service Guide, SY24-6160 and close all
open problems before turning the system over to
the customer.
From the Support Element Workplace panel.
1. Open Console Actions from the Views
area
2. Open Installation Complete Report from
the Console Actions Work Area
3. Fill in the appropriate fields.
4. Select OK when complete.
Note: If more than one report is required
over type the first report after
selecting OK to complete the report.
Repeat this action until all reports
are filed.
5. Open Task List from the Views area.
6. Select Service from the Task List Work
Area.
7. Open Groups from the Views area.
8. Select CPC from the Groups Work Area.
9. Drag and drop the select object on
Transmit Console Service Data in the
Service area.
10. Select Support Element system events
11. Select Support Element error logs
12. Select Support Element logs before
compression
13. Select IBM service support system.
Note: If proper telecommunications
equipment is not available, also
select Installation Complete Report,
then choose diskette.
14. Input the PMH number for the install.
15. Select Send

Note: If you do not have the proper
telecommunications equipment defined to
send the service data to the IBM* service
support system or if the customer does not
authorize you to use this facility, send the
diskette to IBM* in the envelope provided.
CE INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE.
