9 IBM 7858 modem
1. Configure the modem as follows.
TCP/IP (Asynchronous) Communications
Ensure that the modem cables are connected
and the unit is powered on.
Press the down arrow (↓) until Configurations
displays on the top row.
Press the right arrow (→) until Select Factory
displays on the bottom row.
Press ENTER to select the option.
Press the up arrow (↑) until 0 displays.
Press ENTER to load the predefined factory
configuration 0.
Press the down arrow (↓) until Configurations
displays on the top row.
Press the right arrow (→) until Save User
Configuration displays on the bottom row.
Press ENTER to select the option.
Press the up arrow (↑) until 1 displays.
Press ENTER to save factory configuration 0
as User configuration 1.
Continue on step 12.
