1. Configure the modem for synchronous(left
column) or Asynchronous(right column)
communications.
SDLC (Synchronous) Communications
Ensure that the modem cables are connected
and the unit is powered on.
Press the down arrow (↓) until Configurations
displays on the top row.
Press the right arrow (→) until Select Factory
displays on the bottom row.
Press ENTER to select the option.
Press the up arrow (↑) until 3 displays.
Press ENTER to load the predefined factory
configuration 3.
Press the down arrow (↓) until Configurations
displays on the top row.
Press the right arrow (→) until Save User
Configuration displays on the bottom row.
Press ENTER to select the option.
Press the up arrow (↑) until 0 displays.
Press ENTER to save factory configuration 3
as User configuration 0.
