• Short Pulse: rings in short bursts
• Long Pulse: rings in long bursts
Ring Tone
Select Ring Tone to choose from five available tones. You can use the Play softkey to preview
the tones before selection. If you configure Ring Cadence to off, the Ring Tone option does
not appear on the menu.
Ring Volume
(WLAN Handset 2211 only) Select Ring Volume to adjust the volume level. The graduated
volume bar indicates the levels. You can override this setting by adjusting volume while the
handset is ringing.
Vibrate Cadence
Select Ring Cadence to configure the rhythm of the ring. You can select a preprogrammed
vibrate cadence or opt to obtain the cadence from the PBX. The PBX option utilizes distinctive
vibrate cadence sent by the PBX while allowing you to configure unique vibrate cadence for
auxiliary applications.
• Off: silent
• PBX: PBX determines vibrate cadence
(For example, the PBX can send vibrate cadences that differentiate between internal and
external calls.)
• Continuous: vibrates continually until answered
• Short Pulse: vibrates in short bursts
• Long Pulse: vibrates in long bursts
Ring Delay
Select Ring Delay to specify how long the vibrate cadence plays before the audible ring begins.
The Ring Delay option appears if both ring cadence and vibrate cadence are configured to
PBX, Continuous, Short Pulse, or Long Pulse. If Ring Cadence or Vibrate Cadence are turned
off, the Ring Delay option does not appear on the menu.
Auxiliary Ring 1 and Ring 2
The Auxiliary rings are designed to be utilized by OAI applications. With Auxiliary Ring 1 and
Ring 2 you can configure a distinctive ring for these applications.
Noise Mode
Select Noise Mode to specify the noise level in your environment. Select Normal for most office
environments; High: for moderate background noise; or Severe: for extremely noisy conditions.
The High and Severe modes adjust the microphone and in-ear speaker volume of the handset
