If more than 10% of the

packets received by the

radio from a client are

retransmissions, the radio

lowers the data rate to the

client and, if necessary,

increases power to reduce the

retransmissions.

The radio maintains a transmit

rate of at least 5.5 Mbps for all

802.11b/g clients and 24 Mbps

for all 802.11a clients.
