◆ Top Protective Cover

Drive models CIMR-LU20008 to 20180, 40005 to 40150, 50003 to 50099 are designed to IP00
specifications with a top protective cover. The drive is able to operate in the ambient temperature of 40°C (104°F) by
removing this top protective cover.

Removing the Top Protective Cover
Insert the tip of a straight-edge screwdriver into the small openings located on the front edge of the top protective cover.
Gently apply pressure as shown in
Figure 2.5
Reattaching the Top Protective Cover
Align the small protruding hooks on the sides of the top protective cover with the corresponding mounting holes on the
top of the drive. Pinch the hooks inward so that the they connect with the mounting holes and fasten the top protective
cover back into place.

Removing the Top Protective Cover
Remove the top protective cover and then remove the screws at the four corners of the cover with a straight-edge
screwdriver.
