Diesel vehicles: Drain water from fuel

Check brake fluid; add if necessary.
Check brake pedal for proper operation.

Check hydraulic fluid; add if necessary.
Check engine circulating air passage;
visually inspect unshrouded area around
engine exhaust for grass and debris and
clean if necessary.
Diesel vehicles: Check for grass and
debris around the radiator.
Check air pressure and adjust if
necessary. See Section 8 – Wheels and
Tires.
Check lubricant levels. Add if necessary.

Differential on page 10b-13.
Wash engine compartment and underside
of vehicle. Do not wash engine when hot.
Clean terminals and wash dirt from
casing; check electrolyte level. Add
distilled water if necessary. See Battery
on page 12a-17 (gasoline vehicles) or
Battery on page 12c-21 (diesel
vehicles).
Check and adjust if necessary. See Wheel
Alignment on page 7-11.
Check for tightness and damage.
Inspect master cylinder, brake lines, and
hoses for damage or leakage.
Check park brake cables for damage;
replace if necessary.
Check brake pads and discs; replace if
necessary. For brake wear-in
procedure, see Hydraulic Brakes in the
Pre-Operation and Daily Safety
Checklist in the Owner's Manual. See
