3.2.3 Cooling System Malfunctions

Fault
Yellow LED on
operating panel is
flashing (short
flashing frequency),
insufficient cooling.
Temperature >11 °C
(51 °F)
The cooling system
does not run, the
yellow LED on the
control system is
off
The cooling system
does not run, the
yellow LED on the
control system is on
3 - 8
Possible cause
1. Power supply interrupted
or dispenser disonnected
from the mains supply for
a longer time
2. Flexy-packs' temperature
too high, was not thawed
in the refrigerator
3. Ventilating grid blocked
4. Heat sink or fan blocked
5. Fan defective
6. Ambient temperature too
high
7. Wrong tolerance of the
Peltier element
1. Break down of the fuse
F04 in the power supply
or of thermo fuse in the
transformer T01 (USA/
Can)
Transformer T01 or
control unit defective
1. Temperature sensor or
control unit defective
2. Peltier element defective
Remedy
1. Check the power supply. The flashing
stops as soon as the correct
temperature has been reached (after
approx. 1 hour).
2. Replace the flexy-pack, follow filling
and thawing requirements.
3. Clean. Place the dispenser with a
distance to the wall of at least 5 cm
(2 in).
4. Clean.
5. Replace the fan (see chap. 5F.2).
6. Change the location of the dispenser.
7. Disconnect sensor plug ST05 from
the control unit and bridge PINs 1
and 2 of BU05. Measure the voltage
above the multiplier. If the measured
value is out of tolerance 0.1V <
value < 0.32V: Replace the Peltier
element.
1. Disconnet plug ST07 from the control
unit, replace the fuse, and check
transformer T01 for 11-14V at PIN 5
and 2 (see chap. 5K.2).
If 11-14V: Replace the control unit.
If not 11-14V: Replace transformer
and fuse.
1. Disconnect sensor Bu05 from the
control unit. Check if Bu06 carries
12 V at PIN 1 and 3.
If 12V: Replace the pipe.
If not 12V: Replace the control unit.
2. Disconnect the sensor plug ST05
from the control unit and bridge PINs
1 and 2 of BU05. Measure the
voltage above the multiplier. If the
measured value is out of the
tolerance 0.1V < value < 0.32V
Replace the Peltier element (see
chap. 5F.2).
