3.2.2 Water System Malfunctions

Fault
Water runs from
overflow when
dispenser is
switched on

Possible cause
1. Float guide is blocked due
to calcification
2. Float switch defective
3. Inlet valve does not close
1. Inlet valve defective
1. Trough is calcified: outlet
valve tappet does not seal
2. Tappet lip seal damaged
3. Ventilating hose in outlet
elbow blocked or bent
1. O-ring of outlet elbow
damaged or elbow
deformed
2. Supporting ring overturned
1. Outlet valve tappet
blocked
Remedy
1. Decalcify the boiler.
2. Check the water inlet valve for 25 V
alternating voltage when the float
switch arm is completely lifted.
If 25 V: Replace the float switch.
3. Replace the inlet valve.
Also on installation: Rapidly open and
close the water tap several times, in
order to achieve easy operation of the
valve after possible long storage
(dynamic pressure).
1. Replace the inlet valve
(see chap. 5A.2).
1. Dismount and clean the tappet.
Decalcify the boiler (see chap. 5A.2).
2. Replace the lip seal.
3. Clean or replace the hose.
1. Replace O-ring/elbow
(see chap. 5A.2).
2. Replace the boiler if the locking
mechanisms at the outlet are
destroyed.
1. Dismount and clean the tappet.
Decalcify the boiler (see chap. 5A.2).
