Print Driver Installation
The print driver installation method varies depending on the environment you use. Install the
print driver with reference to the relevant section.
■When printing on the TCP/IP network using lpr

Install the print driver with reference to the manual stored on the "Driver CD Kit" CD-ROM
supplied with this printer in the following cases:
■When printing directly using SMB
■When printing using the printer on the NetWare server, Windows NT 4.0/
Windows 2000/Windows XP/Windows Server 2003 network
■When printing over the Internet (IPP)
■When printing directly using Port9100
■When printing with the printer connected to the computer with a parallel
cable as a local printer
■When printing with the printer connected to the computer with a USB cable
as a local printer
Connect the USB cable after installing the print driver to the computer.
In addition, install the postscript print driver with reference to the manual stored on the
"PostScript Driver Library" CD-ROM supplied with this printer so that you can use Post-
Script.
