Location request, Notify location
If a confirmation screen appears, touch [OK] or [Yes] to start Location request or
Notify location. Touch [Clear] to abort the process.
Canceling auto-update of pattern definition
When a screen for automatically updating pattern definition appears, touch [Cancel]
then [Yes] to cancel the auto-update of pattern definition.

When unavailable function is used in flip style
When selecting data that cannot be displayed or attempting to use the unavailable
functions, the screen below appears.
When you touch [Keep current operation], "Flip open and start operation."
appears. When returning to normal style, the message disappears and operations
can be performed again.
When you touch [Display menu], "Exiting applications currently in use." appears
and then flip menu is displayed.
Using Multitask menu in flip style
In flip style, press M (1 sec. or more) to display menu. From the menu, you can
select from 4 functions of Silent mode ON, IC card lock, Saving mode ON/OFF and
Screen OFF.
Some functions cannot be performed at the same time with the function in use.
To cancel IC card lock, authentication is required.
If you touch [Screen OFF], the screen light turns off and touch operations become
unavailable. If you press SD, P or M, restore normal style or receive a call or
mail, the light turns back on.
When a voice or videophone call comes or Location request is issued while the
light is off, press M to make touch operations available.

Pointing operation using fingerprint sensor

By operating fingerprint sensor, menu operation or display operation of i-αppli
(compatible i-αppli only) or Full Browser can be performed in the same way as
multi-cursor key (gudlr). And, when displaying the menu on the sub-
display, operations can be performed in the same way as SD or M.
Operations of pointing device are unavailable in the cases below.
- Stand-by display (Except in Focus mode), calling screen, flip style
- When the sub-display menu is not displayed with FOMA terminal folded

Pointing operation
Basic operations are as given below.
Double-tap : Tap the fingerprint sensor so that a ball of the finger hits the center of
fingerprint sensor lightly 2 times (Touch the fingerprint sensor with a finger as
parallel as possible)
Slide : While touching the fingerprint sensor lightly, move your finger up, down,
right or left
Double-tap Slide
