Setting up Input 8 using the Userware
It is recommended that when Input 8 is being used, the projector is controlled from a
personal computer via a LAN connection, using the Userware Applet as described in
the next section.
Please note that when using the Userware application, a limited range of
parameters, as described below, will apply.
If a LAN connection is not available, it is possible to use the OSD as described
below.
Setting up Input 8 using the On Screen Display (OSD)
•
Connect the source to Input 8 as described in Section 2: Installation, and
check that the signal is displayed on screen.
The OSD will not appear on screen while Input 8 is selected.

Use the Remote Control or the Keypad to select any unused input from Inputs
1-7.
Press Menu and the OSD will appear.

Navigate to SETUP as described earlier in this section, and apply any settings
•
as required.
•
When all settings are complete, re-select Input 8.
•
The OSD will disappear and the settings will be applied to Input 8.
Menu considerations when using Input 8
The following menus are NOT applicable:
Input menu: Input selection is available, but Input Presets are not
Picture menu
Geometry menu
Colour menu
The following parameters in the Setup menu ARE applicable to Input 8:
Projector: Orientation, Backlight, Lens Calibration and Fastframe only
Global Colour
Lamp
Password
Communication
Network
3D

Brightness and Contrast are
fixed at nominal (as suited to
a purely digital interface) and
Gamma is set to 2.4.
The associated Picture and
Geometry controls normally
available on the remote control
(ie the round buttons at the
bottom of the control) are also
not applicable.
