5–43. Rear Fan (Figure 5–42 or Figure 5–43)
a. Removal
1. Remove cover (pedestal models) or right side cover (XQ models) per paragraph 5–18a.
2. Remove two nuts (1) and star washers (2).
3. Lift up transformer cover (3).
4. Remove screw (4) and terminal lug (5) at T1–2.
5. Remove screw (6) and terminal lug (7) at T1–10.
6. On pedestal models, remove three screws (8) and nuts (9). On floor cabinet (XQ) models, these
screws are accessed from above.
7. Separate fan (10) from side of housing (11).
b. Installation
1. On pedestal models, place fan (10) on housing (11). On floor cabinet (XQ) models, mount the fan
to the top of the electronics bay.
2. Install three screws (8) and nuts (9).
3. Install screw (6) and terminal lug (7) at T1–10.
4. Install screw (4) and terminal lug (5) at T1–2.
5. Put transformer cover (3) in place.
6. Install two nuts (1) and star washers (2).
7. Replace cover (pedestal models) or right side cover (XQ models) per paragraph 5–18b.
