Auto background

FastAccess: M44
Enable automatic background compensation if you are copying or faxing
documents printed on colored paper. The machine will lighten the background
shading so that the text is easier to read.
Use this feature only when scanning documents on dark colored paper.
To change the Auto Background setting:

Long Documents
FastAccess: M45
You can copy a document that is up to 279 mm (11 in) wide and up to 1 m
(39.37 in) long. If the document length exceeds this default limit, the machine
displays a document jam.
To extend the document length, set the Allow long pages feature to increase
the allowable length. This allows documents up to 10 m (393.70 in) long to be
scanned and copied (subject to available memory).
To select Allow Long Pages for copies:
