This chapter covers troubleshooting common problems with the Konica Fax
9825. In addition there are some maintenance tips to keep your machine in
working order.

Self Test

FastAccess: M15
Use this test procedure to check the hardware features on the machine and
generate a self-test report. A self test is automatically run when you turn on the
Konica Fax 9825 but a report is not generated.

Load paper in the paper tray.

Press Menu.

Press 1 to select the Reports/Help menu.

Press 5 to select the Self-test menu option. The machine will run its self-
test diagnostics and then will print a self-test report.
If an error occurs during self test, use this table to diagnose the problem.

Fax memory error #1-5
Modem error #1-3
No modem detected
Cause: Failed SRAM test.
Action: Call for service.
Cause: Failed DRAM test.
Action: Call for service.
Cause: Modem not detected or failed test.
Action: Call for service.
Cause: Modem not detected.
Action: Call for service.
