Receiving a Fax

Receive To Memory

(Default = Yes)
If this feature is enabled, all received fax documents are stored in memory if
the printer is unavailable because of a paper jam, lack of paper or ink, or when
the printer is busy. The documents are automatically printed and deleted from
memory when the printer is available.
To enable receiving faxes to memory:

Press Menu.

Press 2 to select the Fax menu.

Press 3 to select the Fax options menu.

Press 2 to select the Incoming faxes menu option.

Press 4 to select the Receive to memory menu option.
Press Æ until the desired setting displays: Yes or No .

Press Enter.

Confidential Receive

This feature is used in conjunction with the Secure Access feature to provide
confidential receive capability. If the Confidential Receive option is enabled
when a remote machine contacts your machine, your machine stores the
documents in memory. See the " Confidential Receive " section on page 153
and the " Supervisor Access Mode " section on page 152.
The confidential documents can be printed locally or retrieved from a remote
machine. See the " Print Confidential Faxes " section on page 83 to print the
documents using your machine. See the " Polling Confidential Documents "
section on page 106 to retrieve the documents using a remote machine.
