Keyguard protects your phone from accidental key presses (for example, if the
phone slips around inside a briefcase).
When the phone power is turned on but you are not actively using the phone, the
phone enters power-save or "sleep" mode. In this state, the screen is blank and the
keypad is locked. The PDA is turned off to save power.The LED light flashes slowly
to show that the phone is on.
Keyguard remains on until you either turn it off or answer a call.
Press the backlight button on the top of the phone.
By default, the phone is set to go into power-save mode automatically after two
minutes of nonuse. You can turn this automatic feature on or off and adjust how
quickly the phone goes into power-save mode.
1. From the home screen, press the shuttle in to open the menus.
2. Roll the shuttle down until Settings is highlighted, then push the shuttle in to
select it.
