Getting Started

The Emulation Workspace

The emulation workspace is the area which emulates the display of the terminal
specified in setup (the DEC VT400 terminal by default) and where work is carried
out with an application.
The number of text lines displayed in the emulation workspace is set to 24 lines with
an indicator status line on the 25th line by default. You can specify the number of
lines displayed by using a resource or command line option. The number of columns
that are displayed and stored in memory can be specified by options in the Terminal
Settings dialog box.
Refer to the section describing the Scroll Bar earlier for information on scrolling
lines and columns stored off-screen into view.
