Creating A Licence Key File

Before running TeemTalk for the first time you must create a text file in which the
TeemTalk licence key is placed.
1. Create the licence directory /etc/lm with the following command
and then make it the current directory.
2. Use a text editor to create the file teemx in which the 12 digit
licence key should be placed.
A temporary licence key is supplied with TeemTalk which will enable the software to
operate normally until the date shown. If you have purchased the software you
should apply for a permanent licence key from your local reseller. To obtain this key
you will need to supply the following information:
-
The serial number of the product (shown on the distribution
media).
-
The internet address of the workstation or X terminal on which
TeemTalk is being displayed. (TeemTalk displays the required IP
address as part of the Copyright message when it is started. For
example: "...running on 'dopey' (128.127.126.2)...", where the IP
address is 128.127.126.2. Note that TeemTalk will display this
information even without a licence file.)
When you have the permanent licence key, this must replace the temporary licence
key in the licence key file.
