APM Configuration submenu

The APM Configuration submenu allows you to enable or disable advanced
power management (APM) features.
Meaning
This item allows you to enable or disable the chipset's advanced power management (APM) features.
This item allows you to specify the power-conserving state that the display device will enter after a specific
period of inactivity (no changes on the display). You specify this amount of time using the Suspend Time Out
item (listed below).
By selecting Disabled, the display device does not enter suspend mode after a specific period of inactivity.
By selecting Suspend, the display device enters suspend mode after a specific period of inactivity.
This item allows you to specify the power-conserving state that the hard disk drive will enter after a specific
period of hard disk drive inactivity. You specify this amount of time in the Suspend Time Out item.
By selecting Disabled, the hard disk drive does not enter suspend mode after a specific period of hard disk
drive inactivity. By selecting Suspend, the hard disk drive enters suspend mode after a specific period of hard
disk drive inactivity.
This item allows you to select after which point in time suspend mode is activated for both the hard disk drive
and the display device.
This item allows you to specify the speed at which the unit's clock runs in power saving states. The possible
speeds, or duty cycles, are expressed as a percentage of the normal CPU clock speed:
% = (CPU clock speed in power-conserving state) * 100 / (normal CPU clock speed)
This item allows you to monitor or ignore keyboard and mouse use when deciding to enter/leave suspend
states.
Note that, although this item is called "PS/2", this item applies to any keyboard and mouse connected to the
Matrox 4Sight X unit. In the case of the Matrox 4Sight X unit, this item refers to the USB keyboard and USB
mouse that can be connected to the internal or external USB por ts.
This item allows you to specify the operation of your unit when the power button is pressed.
By selecting On/Off, the unit will turn on or off when the power button is pressed. By selecting Suspend, the
unit will enter Suspend mode when the power button is pressed.
